Sharples Commons offers flexible indoor and outdoor spaces for meeting and socializing. From hosting small gatherings to flagship campus events like Orientation, Sharples Commons fosters community connection.
Student activities are given priority use of first floor gathering spaces when reserved through Swat Central, and you can table near the entrance to the Dining Center. Student organizations will also have dedicated, secure storage space in Sharples Commons for their supplies and materials.
If Sharples Commons is the “living room” of campus, the student lounge is where you come to put your feet up. Filled with comfortable couches and natural light, the lounge is a flexible space where you can relax, meet up with friends, or catch up on some studying.
The Office of Student Engagement (OSE) is a one-stop shop for student events, programming, and organizations. Part of the Division of Student Affairs, the OSE aims to provide the foundation for a thriving campus community through student-centered activities and residential experiences. The OSE is located in the northern portion of the first floor of Sharples Commons.
